The GEWA PROG is a 10-level programmable
transmitter. It can send hundreds of signals to control virtually
everything in the environment. It can access the entire range
of GEWALink receivers including security-coded devices, can quickly
learn the codes for all your entertainment units like TV, CD
player, etc., and can actuate the common X-10 remote control
devices for lighting and appliances.
For those who don't require the
sophistication of the GEWA PROG, simpler transmitters are available.
Scanning:
For those who cannot operate
the GEWA PROG by hand, it can be actuated by any single-function
control such as a sip or puff switch, head actuated switch, hand
or foot switch, etc. |

INFRA-LINK receivers
are available in several
versions depending on the number of functions needed and the
way the system must be configured.
A 1-Channel INFRA-LINK receiver
is used for general functions
such as motor driven door openers, alarms, and curtain control.
A 2-channel INFRA-LINK receiver is used for dual-functions
like calling an elevator (up and/or down).
Special Coded INFRA-LINK receivers have been
designed for security; they are used for lock access and controlling
motor driven door openers in restricted environments.
The INFRA-LINK
elevator receivers are specifically intended for the control
of elevators and permit selection of floor, emergency, and signal
button within the elevator car.

The "smart" control system
The development of the
INFRA-LINK system started in 1978 and has gone through a continuous
development program. Receivers and transmitters have been designed
for the needs and demands of the users and to meet the requirements
of modern production techniques.
Today, INFRA-LINK is a proven
system which has become the worldwide standard for people with
special needs in and around the home, hospitals, nursing homes,
and places of employment.
INFRA-LINK is the key to the
GEWA "Smart House" which provides, especially to those
who are most disabled, a higher quality of independence.
How to build a GEWA "Smart House"
When architects and consultants
need assistance in planning homes, apartments and public buildings,
please request the free GEWA Project Manual. |

GEWALink Lighting Switches
Installed as replacements,
the GEWALink modules combine both infrared and manual
switching operation for one or two circuits. They "learn"
the appropriate actuation signals directly from the INFRA-LINK
transmitters.
GEWALink Wall Sockets
Replacing conventional
wall sockets, each GEWALink module provides control of
each of two 110-120 volt outlets. Actuation signals are "learned"
from the INFRA-LINK transmitters.
GEWA INFRA-LINK Telephone
A "hands-free"
speaker-phone is accessible by INFRA-LINK control. Calls can
be made and answered remotely. Outgoing calls can be made either
by dialing each number or accessing pre-programmed memories.
"one-touch" dialing facilitates use as an emergency
phone.
Window opening
An electric window opener,
for casement type windows that operate either inward or outward,
permits continuously variable control over approximately 15.7
inches (40 cm). For security, the open window is locked in position.
GEWA-Com Intercom
Front door intercom functions,
including speak/listen mode, door-lock release, and an auto-clear
facility, are accessible with INFRA-LINK.
GEWA "Service telephone"
This enables the user to seek help or screen visitors. It utilizes
an automatic "Walkie-Talkie" mode and has a high quality
sound output.
Alarm system
In the GEWA "Smart
House," the alarm system is based on a pocket, remote paging
system where the receiver displays the reason for the alarm.
The system also gives both a visual and audible response. |
